Capri

This weekend, my roommate Vanessa and I went to the Almalfi Coast.  We traveled by bus Thursday night to Sorrento and stayed all weekend at Hotel Spicy, which was more of a hostel but it had just been redone so it was nice!

Friday we woke up early to take the ferry to the island of Capri, which was beautiful and very ritzy.  Once we got to the island we took a boat tour around the island.  Capri has 3 grottos, a white grotto, a green grotto, and a blue grotto.  We were supposed to be able to go into the blue grotto (one of the modern wonders of the world) and go swimming but it was very windy on that side of the island and the entrance to the grotto is only 3 feet so we were unable to actually go into it but the tour was still amazing.  After the tour we took this cool little train up and over the mountain and down to the beach.  The water was crystal clear and there were rocks everywhere that you could climb and jump off, it was sooo much fun!  We had lunch and hung out on the beach for the rest of the afternoon and then went to a limonchello tasting.  We didn’t leave Capri until about 6:00pm so by the time we got back to the hotel and had dinner I went straight to bed! Here are the pics:
